How to Reach Borås from Gothenburg - Landvetter Airport

Here is the answer for one of your frequent question. How to reach Borås? First of all I will teach you how to pronounce Borås. It is not an english word. It is a swedish word. In english you should pronounce as "Buros".

To learn the pronounciation of swedish words online CLICK HERE!

Gothenburg - landvetter airport is the nearest airport to Borås. The airport is situated in the high road of Gothenburg - Borås. It takes 30 to 40 minutes by bus from Landvetter. You can find bus to Borås at the entrance of Airport. You have to take ticket before getting in to the bus. You can get ticket (SEK 80) in Informaton center and 'Press Byran' at Airport. Bus timings also displayed outside of the airport. You wont find any difficulty in getting a bus to Borås.

You can find the ticket fare and timings HERE.

You have to get down at Borås bus terminal - 'Södra Torget'. There you have to get a monthly pass - SEK 410 (SEK 310 for below 26 years) at 'Press Byrån' or 'västtrafik', with that you can roam anywhere in Borås for 1 month.

To reach Distansgatan / Tunnlandsgatan(Where student accommodation of AB Bostader is situated) you have to take bus route no. 1 from södra torget - towards Angsgarden / Hasseleholmen / Bramhult, via Sjukhuset. Bus stop is Fjardingskolan.

Do remember the area where your room is - "Hässeleholmen", and street name is Distansgatan.

For calling, there is no pco's like in India. You can find 'TELIA' telephone booth at airport and at södra torget. But you find little bit expensive there. If you ask any body near you, they will lend their mobile for you.

It is always better if you have Visa card. If you bring cash in Euro, you find some advantage than in SEK. Dont bring money in Rupees. You can exchange the cash EURO/Rupee at Airport - FOREX counter. There is no extra charge if you convert Euro to SEK.

HAVE A NICE JOURNEY!!!

Student life in Sweden

First of all, based on current scenario dont come to Sweden,if you are planned to study by paying the tuition fee. From 2011 Autumn intake, tuition fee is compulsory for all students from non-european nations, some exceptions are there, but India is not in that exception. If you are going to take 2 year program in 2011 Fall intake means, you no need to pay any fees for the second year also.

You may get scholarship once the fee has been implemented. You can read the government order about tuition fee here: http://www.regeringen.se/sb/d/11317/a/131434

I studied in University of Borås. My perspective is only based on Borås not on other universities in Sweden. Situations may be similar. Here most of the Indians are South Indians. Especially Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Even some of the North Indians were graduated from South India only. Here main part time job is Paper distribution. That too from 2.00 AM to 6.00 AM. It is very difficult to distribute in Sweden climate. Even people are doing for the money sake. There is high demand for this job also, so you wont get job easily. Since the education is free most of the Telugu guys are doing 2 master / 3 master programs. Simply enroll their name in any course and do the paper distribution as their professional job. Other part time job available is cleaning in restaurant - very limited.

After finishing the course, many people trying for Denmark. Denmark is having some point system for applying Work permit. You can search in google for getting more information about this.

Steps to block unwanted people in Gtalk

Sometimes certain contacts may act like pests or may otherwise deserve your scorn. They can be your friends are relatives. In such cases, you can block those users if you want and pretend they don't exist.

Instructions

1.
Step 1

Find in your contact list the name of the person you want to block. You may have to expand the list to see all your contacts by clicking the "All Contacts" button below the "Friends" list.
2.
Step 2

Click on the person's name. This action opens a new profile tab and chat area.
3.
Step 3

Locate the down arrow. You can find this arrow at the top right of the profile tab you opened in Step 2.
4.
Step 4

Hover your mouse pointer over the "Block" button. If you're ready to sweep the offender from your life (or, at least, from your Google Talk contacts), click the mouse button.
5.
Step 5

Take a faster approach if the contact deserves less of your time by simply right-clicking the contact name. Click on the "Remove" option, which will also give you the opportunity to block the contact.

Tips & Warnings

*
If you erred or if the contact has recovered in your estimation, you can unblock that contact by using the "Settings" menu and going to "Blocked." Select the contact that you want to restore and click "Unblock."
*
Blocking a contact prevents that user from contacting you and from seeing whether you are online. Likewise, you can't see that user's status either.

when i try to edit someone's contact details it gives me this error.

[Solution # 1]
You will need to go to your Yahoo! Email Account and delete the contact's name there first.

1. Click Contacts from in the toolboxt to open.
2. Go to the contact you wish to remove and click the box next to it.
3. Go to the top of the list and click the Delete button.

Error Code 40402 pops up when trying to remove a name while in your Yahoo Instant Messenger list first.

[Solution # 2]
Quit the program, then delete the contents of the “Cache”-folder located here:

[Solution # 3]
most probably a registry error - if you do not have a registry cleaner try downloading the free version of ccleaner from filehippo

use microsoft 'one care' for further check

Hope they could help you
